I started this series first on the gear game.
I practiced until I created many combo.
But CPU alway break my combo easily.

All I ever played were Mean Bean Machine and Kirby's Avalanche. Are the actual puyo puyo games worth getting into?
I think I read that tsu introduced the ability to mitigate the amount of junk the opponent hits you with by offsetting with a combo of your own. Is there truth to that? That alone would make it more interesting to me..

Starting with 2 you are able to "offset" garbage puyo being sent onto your field with a chain of your own, or even send some garbage puyo to your opponents side if your chain is large enough. The series is definitely worth getting into if you like competetive puzzle games with a lot of depth and cute, silly anime characters.
