When people recommend using a Genesis model 1 adapter on an NES producing wavy lines, do they mean it has to be an OEM Sega adapter? What about the cheap aftermarket 3 in 1s? They also output 10v dc. I'm hoping to try this cheap fix before begging the PCB nerd at work for help soldering and stuff.

I used to use a cheap md1 power supply for my Jap mega drive until I got a genuine one and stopped getting those lines. I use a matter system one for my av famicom
