Component is component. The PS1 doesn't use component. Don't use component cables with a PS1, it does not work.

Component uses a YCbCr color space, PS1 does not output YCbCr.

I don't think PSX games will run in component that way, but rather they play in RGB instead.

Yes, I got an OEM one for the PS3 and it works for both.

I just checked the prices of them right now and they're ridiculous, I got mine for around $20 and I only bought it a few months ago what the fuck

it does, but the tv has to support 240p/288p over component, which many don't.
