3D Prerendered Sprites appreciation thread!
PRERENDERED BACKGROUND ART
PRERENDERED SPRITES IN A 3D ENVIRONMENT
EVERYTHING PRERENDERED!
Super underrated aesthetic. Even if the game sucked the graphics were awesome.
What are some of your favorite games that use this style, /vr/?

Cool Spot had the best sprites tho.
Baku Baku, also super fun puzzle game that's somewhat underrated
Is there even a list of those? The only ones I know are:
Everything of Rare for the snes
Baku Baku
Dragon Tycoon Edge
Grand Chef RPG
Seal of the Pharaoh
those Japanese PC games (which I forgot the name of) which have been posted here some times
Sabrewulf (gba)
Powers Kingdom
Ragnagard

Doom troopers is like dkc with guns and blood
>>3967440
damn this is really cool
Icewind Dale.
>>3966661
another cliche answer, but ff7 really did it right in a lot of places. I always remember feeling like I could reach out and touch midgar when fire or electric effects were used on the backgrounds.

Rollercoaster Tycoon is prerendered as well.

Almost every zone in that game is memorable. Amazing pre-renders.
>>3966679
Why?
>>3967440
This looks super fun
Super Pang 3.
the gritty realism was not lost despite being prerender
it just kinda werks
Treasure Hunter G is a standout example.
>>3968708
Yes, but that is isometric, and almost every isometric game is prerenderd
>>3966661
killer instinct

Not sprites though.
One one hand they look dated, but on the other hand I can't imagine games like dkc without them
Crusader: no remorse
