Hey guys, I've got a free summer coming up and I'm planning on spending a good bit of it playing through some old 4th and 5th gen era rpgs and similar such games that I for whatever reason never got around to trying out. Here's what I have so far:
>Lufia 2
>Legend of Dragoon
>Vagrant Story
>Alundra
>Suikoden 2
>Terranigma
Do you guys any other good recommendations? I'm looking mostly for games similar to these, and similar to games I've already played like Xenogears, PS1 FF games, etc

Yeah, I recommend only handling Terranigma and Lufia II with gloves and eye protection on at all times.
Remove Vagrant Story, add Wild Arms 1 & 2 and Paper Mario.

I already played those

>liking Vagrant Story at all
>>3956040
>actually being proud of having shit taste
>>3955956
>>Terranigma
Remember to apply the NTSC patch before playing.

As if that will make it a better game.
>Lufia 2
>Legend of Dragoon
>Suikoden 2
Awful. These are about as generic as JRPGs come. You're going to be bored out of your skull, assuming you can even compel yourself to marathon your way through everything on this list without first obtaining a lobotomy. Vagrant Story and Terranigma are probably the only games on there that have some depth.
Maybe try the King's Field games instead. They're not linear turn-based shit.

I've played the King's Field games, andI like linear, mindless turn based shit
>>3956076
>Terranigma
>depth
Holy Christ your taste in games is just fucking awful. And recc'ing King's Field over all OP's Now Playing list? Goddamn.

Lufia 2 had pretty fun combat and tough puzzles
>>3955956
>Suikoden 2
>Legend of dragoon
Don't bother anon. They're terrible - especially the first 2 suikoden games.
Good luck with Vagrant Story. It's brilliant but takes some getting used to.
