3ds version was gr8 on the bus, just make sure you play 5 in japanese since theres weird lag in the us version. beat the entire series on it

If you can read moonrunes, I'd suggest trying to play the PlayStation Complete Works series, and then get the arcade games on PS2.

IIRC on the JP PSN you have access to 1-6 via Complete Works, 8-10, and the arcade games via PS2 classics. (As a bonus, X8 is also a PS2 classic.)

If you're stuck on US PSN, you miss out on 5, 6, and the arcade games because Capcom is lazy af.

I heard the Anniversary Collection is based on the Japanese Rockman PSX Complete Works version.

Did they fix the music and sound issues from Complete Works? Honestly, when played in classic mode the quality of the music is atrocious, like someone recorded the music with a webcam mic in front of desk speakers; and there are tons of sound glitches.
