What is currently the best way to emulate games up to the Dreamcast on TV? I don't want to buy original consoles and use roms or whatever, because I don't want to hook them up to HDMI. They look like garbage, and the mods cost a shitload.

Then buy a CRT.
To answer your question, though: a spare laptop

I'm definitely not putting a CRT anywhere in my new apartment. Those bulky pieces of shit are awful looking.

Then go without video games you shallow cunt.

Then stop being a faggot and focus on getting a better job to afford it.

idk senpai they're pretty aesthetic
Fucking hook up a PC to a TV what the fuck did you expect OP

kys
Get a CRT monitor and run the games through an emulator in native resolution. A monitor takes less space than a TV unless you get something like a PVM/BVM.
If you run the games on a LCD TV it's going to look like shit regardless.

A PC with Xeon overclocked to 6ghz with liquid helium cooling and a low lag gaming TV.

Well then look who just ran out of options...
You wanna use TV, so a laptop is no option, but no hooking up to a modern TV, and a CRT is no option.
Though shit...

Use a Raspberry Pi

Is that a HDMI to COMPOSITE converter?
Damn, that's not even a step down but a fall down converter.

Lucky for you, Dreamcast supports VGA output at 480p, and every monitor/tv in the world with a VGA input accepts that.
You'll miss out on a couple of games like Bangai-O and the english release of Jojo. (JJBA has a vga compatible version, but it's Japanese only)

yes
>>3941293
yes but for old games is perfect

Hook a computer up to any kind of screen. Picture looks ok just do me one favor and
USE THE ORIGINAL CONTROLLERS!!!!
You can plug-and-play connect them with usb adapters.

What emulator uses that?
How is DC emulation? I've burned a bunch of discs that work fine in my DC but I want to capture footage without buying a device, is it possible to just emulate DC for the most part?
>>3941221
Fucking gross.
>>3940367
>How can I emulate these games? I won't use a non-CRT TV
>Just get a CRT, OP
>Fuck no why would I want one of those?
What the fuck do you want?
>>3941293
I'm guessing that portable LCD only takes composite?
