I liked Croc.

I don't know about better than Mario, it was a bit too stiff for that.. But, still a very good and high quality game for the time.

I played a demo on the PS1, and then later owned it on PC.

The Switch is something I completely expected them to do. Nintendo isn't going to go bust but they will focus on being the mobile gaming platform, an area where their competitors still struggle and they have long dominated. If the Switch does prove to be successful then they'll release a follow up to it that actually competes directly against phones. If it's not successful then they'll become a mobile gaming software house that produces content for Android and iPhone.

The whole principle behind marketing is to sell shit but make the buyer believe they're buying gold, there's literally not a single redeeming thing about marketing.

They came out a fucking year apart, nobody could think that. The Mario 64 connection is the concept being 'stolen', not any actual code. The story dates back much further than Larry's video to an old interview with one of the Argonaut guys claiming he pitched a 3D Yoshi Platformer which Nintendo then passed on and they turned into Croc. I don't buy it myself but it's not completely unbelievable with the 3D Super-FX games being their work.
