ITT: Things about retro games & hardware you DON'T miss.
Pic related; these space-eating pigs.
IKR thank God now they all have a massive proprietary amp guzzling internal one that heats up all those components and requires disassembly to replace once it burns out.
Would rather thave that than enormous power bricks or overheating internal power supplies that need loud ass fans.
Corded controllers. While I realize rechargeable Li-Ion batteries have less longevity, I appreciate that I'm no longer tethered to a set distance from my consoles. By the 6th gen, they were making long cords but still, the hassle it saves is great.
The best A/C adapters are the ones with the brick in the middle of the cable.

Hmmm... Did I write a lowercase o, an uppercase O, or a 0 here?
Missing a 1 or 2 discs in a multi-disc RPG.
>>3921830
Usually it's just cutscenes stored on the discs so you can get around it by loading the game with one disc and then swapping it with another by opening the tray. I had to do it with FF7 after someone scratched my first disc to hell and back.

>Pretending 1-30ms of emulation lag or input delay of wireless is something an autist like you could ever notice.
>>3921601
Right, because modern consoles don't have bulky ac adapters.
>want to get a 90000-series ps2because it has no external PSU
>pretty much all 90000-series ps2s don't work with FMCB, except for a couple thousand units which are extremely hard to find
Being a PS2-fan and a sucker for internal power-units is suffering.

then just get a non-slimline version? none of those have external psus.

>1-30ms
30 ms is almost 2 frames, and that's a lot.

They usually don't put the plug on the bulky part anymore though.

wtf. The Wii cord had the brick in the middle. Why are they taking a step backward with the Switch?
