I have both Half-Life and Half-Life: Source in my Steam library, which do I play?

Just play the original, the new one for the doesn't really change much for the better but it doesn't have goldsrc mods

Source was just a slapped together port that doesn't really improve anything and even has some extra bugs. Also I think gibbing was removed in it.

Neither, buy or pirate a CD copy. They butchered a bunch of stuff with an unnecessary (and forced due to steam) update.

its honestly up to you since the only difference between the games are water effects & ragdoll physics.
as far as features beyond the game go you're better off with the original since source doesn't have much mod support beyond an unofficial port of the HD pack

source does have gibbing
Whichever. I was entertained by the ragdoll physics in Source back in 2004, but that's not particularly novel anymore so it doesn't really matter.
>steam
Get a WON iso, its much comfier

Source engine is shit except for 8000 fps, I mean if you really want to suck Source's dick you might as well play Black Mesa instead.

Wait for Black Mesa to release Xen in a few months. Black Mesa is a solid experience and I would recommend it to new players as much as veterans.
