Why does everyone hate this game again? It's not as good

I only hate it because when I was playing it for the first time, I wiped a booger on the floor, or I thought I did. Way later that day I was laying in bed and found that same booger on my balls. Everyone called me booger sack for the rest of my fucking life, thanks OP

Damn, that was the only Spiderman game I ever had.

It had so many extras, like costumes, music, videos, etc.

The Lizard boss was bullshit though.

the lead designer of Spider-Man 2 slept with the (now ex-) wife of a designer from Neversoft, who made the first game. This caused greater than usual animosity against the sequel, especially after the lead designer bragged about it in an AOL article about why gamers should trust Spider-Man 2 to be even better than the first.

It was released a month before 9/11 and had a part involving an explosion in a building, so they recalled it.

That was the only real issue.
