Everyone seems to whine about King's (MM&B) and Gate's

gates isn't hard its just tedious and actually broken which makes it only possible to complete with a specific set of armor as X or you must use exploits to get past a very specific gap.

Specific armor or a specific chip setup. If I remember correctly, it is entirely possible to jump the gap as no-chip unarmored X, but you have to dash jump at the literal last pixel before the pit's death zone, and then frame-perfectly jump to avoid sliding into it on the other side.

King only had one difficult stage, but it was harder than anything in Gate's lab.

Gate's stage is almost literally unplayable... Because WIly machines are superior in every way, and it's damn near impossible to do it as Zero.
King however is super easy, again, Wily Machines are masterrace and play as Bass, King the Boss fight however? Fucking impossible

If that's too hard for you, there is also the Speedster and Hyper dash chips, either of which will solve the problem entirely.
