I like it better than KOF series

Special. Jubei.

Is there a way? I can only think keep playing against a 2nd player in arcade mode until you reach that number, I guess.
>>3898713
Tried that method. 2nd Player beating doesn't award any points...

FF3
I love Yamazaki since the first time I saw ACCIDENT!

In all seriousness, Gamefaqs are usually pretty good, but sometimes people post outright apocryphal stuff.
In order to fight Nightmare Geese, you more or less just have to make sure you never get below an A rank. That's it. I don't think you're allowed to lose a round either.
A really easy way to do it (at least on the easier difficulties) is just to use Krauser's Leg Tomahawk over and over again. It's cheap, sure, but it'll get you to the fight against Nightmare Geese.
Once you do get to him though...well, good luck. That's all I can say.
HOT OPINIONS INCOMING
Top tier: RB2, Special
High tier: RBS, MotW
Mid tier: RB, 3
Low: 1, 2 (multiplayer modes are just way too limited)
All games are still fun though and I'm a bit annoyed that KOF took over as SNK's flagship series
Best character is Krauser BTW

Perfect opinions more like, that's a spot on list.
If you mean the fight against Nightmare Geese, you don't need 1,000,000. It's entirely dependent on ranks.
Make sure you do a savestate before the fight against Geese though, because you only have one chance at it (and may want to fight him again).
Return here with your thoughts when you heard Geese say "GOOD BYE".
RB Special, I don't like how RB2 took away so much of what made RBS fun (RIP Duck King) and reduced the role of the plane switch mechanic
Gameplay-wise probably Hon-Fu butSokakuhas the coolest theme song
We need more people playing RBS on Fightcade

RB Special

>Fav. Game
First one. I got the anthology on PS2, both editions, tried to go through in order but I still just find the first one the most fun. I liked one of the real bouts, can't remember which, but it sucks they censored the blood to white on PS2. That killed a lot of the enjoyment for me even though I thought the game was solid. I think it might be the one in your pic, idk.
>Fav. Character
Terry, of course.

fatal fury 3 has really good atmosphere for a fucking fighting game of all things
>>3902106
>implying atmosphere is an unusual thing in a fighting game
Which would be the best Real Bout game?
I have hard time deciding for one to dedicate myself to.

Special
>>3902106
>for a fucking fighting game of all things
Atmosphere is one of the major parts in making a fighting game.
Real bout is better than real bout special due to having 3 planes to fight on. RBS is babbies first fatal fury game it's god damn great but the first real bout game is better. As for favorite character Andy
>>3902389
>implying any FF game uses the plane switch mechanic to full effect
It was pretty much an afterthought in every FF game, RBS just streamlined it to make it useful then RB2 threw that out the window again
>>3902389
3 planes is too overdone, having 2 planes like in the classic FF games is the way to go.
And babby's first FF is Garou.
>>3898483
Yes because Mai has the best feets in these games and jams toe from her footsleeves
FF 1 and 2, the soundtrack for both games alone kick so much ass.
Andy Bogard in both, 1 because he breaks the game and 2 because he has the best stage/theme.
On a side note, I know i've seen a higher res version of this gif. Anyone have it?
>>3902725
>and 2 because he has the best stage/theme.
Agreed
>>3898483
Original, FFS, FF3, RBS, MOW all worth playing in their own merits. I don't have a particular favorite, I just play MOW more because it's the most popular one and there is almost always someone playing online.
Hon Fu, Kaphan Kim, Xianfei
S ranks are based off of clear speed so just kill em off fast and sneak in dm as finishing moves as much as you can
>>3900192
The original has a very retro charm to it. I am totally with you.
>>3902646
RB2 has plane switching.
>>3898913
How did the multiplayer modes go in 2? Wasn't it standard fare like any 1 v. 1 fighting game?
Also, shame they made the co-op the way they did in the first one. Even with the whole "need to beat each other to advance" bullshit, it was still amusing to fight others with a friend and could've been hot to take on Geese with a buddy.
MotW. Fuck 2 planes

Vanilla FF2 was basically like World Warrior and didn't let you play as any of the bosses. Special made them all playable and then added some characters on top of that, essentially doubling the roster. There's also a bunch of balance and gameplay tweaks that make Special a much better game so there's not much reason to play 2 outside of curiosity to be honest.

>Vanilla FF2 was basically like World Warrior and didn't let you play as any of the bosses.
This. I mean, FFS doubles the roster. That was pretty insane for 1993. FFS was also a lot more balanced, making it by far the definitive experience.

I know it has plane switching, my gripe with it in RB2 is just that they took away some of your options for cross-plane movement/attacking from RBS, made it so you can only spend a couple seconds at a time on the back plane and made several single-plane stages; I guess it adds variety and opens up new combo options by letting you slam the opponent into back-plane hazards like in earlier FF games but the changes strike me as making the plane switch mechanics more limited overall
Then Garou just removed plane switching wholesale along with a bunch of other mechanics unique to FF in an attempt to win over SF players, that's probably been harped on enough times already though

Garou makes me sad. It's so pretty I want to love it, but man it's a boring fighter.
