I'm getting some weird input errors with Art of Fighting 2 in mame and fba. It only happens vs the computer. I can't reproduce it vs a 2nd player. What happens is that a double input will occur. For example, if I do a sweep which is Down+B with Ryo, sometimes it will repeat the move right after without me pressing any buttons. It only happens sometimes, not every time. Anyone else have this problem?

Does that happen only in AoF2 or any other games too?
>>3889473
only aof2
Poor programming, SNK were terrible programmers.

Tried it just now. So far I don't have these problems. Maybe the problem is not in the game
>>3889492
what emulator are you using?
>>3889495
FBA core in RetroArch

same here

Don't know what's causing it then. You could try a different input driver or fiddle with the input settings. Maybe also try a different ROM. This is the first time I'm hearing about something like that.
One last idea: sometimes, some emulators have auto-fire feature. Maybe pressing the button for too long prolongs the input. But that's just a thought

Offhand, no. I think I might have an idea, although I haven't looked at AoF2's internals.
You can cancel out of moves and start doing another move, and it sounds to me like you are cancelling out of a move to do it again immediately.
As >>3889482 pointed out, there was some wonky programming going on at SNK at the time. The first 3 KoF games have hacked together input routines that leave a whole lot of possible move chains open, and basically you can shortcut any long lever pattern to just 3 positions. It wouldn't surprise me if the input buffer in AoF2 stayed open to new moves before clearing in the same kind of way.
