Planescape Torment was released in 1999, so it fits in this board (thankfully).
I installed all the shit to run it in high resolution, fixed the bugs, etc
I have tried playing this game many times but never could pass the city. This time I will try harder since I am playing just to understand when I'll play Torment.
Do you guys have any recommendations how I should play the game to go to the ending as fast as possible and what stats should I use when starting?
Thanks a lot.

Torment is essentially an adventure game that was curiously developed using the Infinity Engine. i.e. It's a non-action game that uses an action RPG game engine. So yeah. If you treat the game like a talking simulator, you'll probably start to make progress.
Also, I thought Torment was grossly overrated. The writing is honestly shit. I spent so much time cringing during the encounter with the Nameless One's clingy ex-girlfriend that I put the game down and haven't picked it up since.

I guess thanks. Yes the guides I have read recommend high WIS, INT and even CHA.
I played the game many times but always left it when you got to the city. This time even if I have to read a guide I will pass it.
I love the design and detail of the game though.
bump for best rpg

Combat is Morte cussing everyone out and kiting them while the rest of your gang wails on them.

or just raise con to max and let the game autobattle while you make a sandwich

>is it beem dog again?
yeah it appears so, it's not official in their forums but it's been talked about by players over there as a rumour some time ago.

We'll see.
countdown is still 2 days wat do guize?
expectations:
if it's an EE I hope they don't change anything from the game except UI and other cosmetic stuff, please don't change any text unless it's for typo correction or the like. I wouldn't mind playing it in the current state of the BG saga EE engine. As always... fans, some more specialised than others, will adapt old patches, make new ones, etc. so in the end the players tweak whatever we want in it.
Give yourself two weekends to play it. If you're working full time I know time is tough but it is a investment. High int/wis mid con cha. All you need most likely you'll only play it once because it is a long game and completely a story rpg.

I hope it isnt. Adding anything to it is ridiculous.
>>3881621
that would be sweet, you'd probably get a 9th level flame-cock spell for that

I don't like visual novels so this game was crap to me.
>>3884062
its not a visual novel, it just has less voice acting.

Why even bother having a 3-day countdown if they're just going to give it away in the site data/twitter anyways?
Unless it's the actual release date I won't be content.
