There are two PC versions. The original PC release, and a Jap only dvd re-release made by Sourcenext.

The re-release looks a bit better than the original version, but the only 'big' differences are for FMV videos and for fixing compatibility issues.

That's not to say that you won't be able to play the original PC version, it's just that, usually, it takes a little more to get it running on modern systems. But, there are tutorials online for that.

The re-release is Jap only though. I heard there is a translation patch, but last I heard it didn't translate everything...

I was so mad.

My RE2 n64 is loaded with saves of it's previous owners but I want to clear all the save files. Except there's no delete save options. Is there any way to do so through some obscure manner?
