Is paying extra for the obi just pure autism? I'm talking $30-$40 difference for a game with it versus one without.
The obi-strip obsession is pure autism. However I do enjoy how I can manipulate buyers into paying more just for a worthless strip of glossy paper.
I've seen many people throw them away but I always tucked them into the manual. Good decision, I guess. Sometimes used imports came with them, sometimes not but I didn't let it affect my purchasing decision and I wouldn't have paid extra to get one.
I didn't know EA published the Saturn port of Sōkyūgurentai in Japan. Feels weird.
They're definitely a neat thing to have and I always put em into the cd case itself for anything I get new
but fuck them if I'm gonna have to pay extra for one if I want something used.

Yes

Agreed
if its anymore than a 5-10 differences than yes big time
>>3859382
No. Caring about them is just pure autism. Paying extra is pure insanity+autism.

Yes it's autism
it's not autism, it's posers who want to feel like they have the game "complete as it came out", even though they jumped waaayyy late into the retro bandwagon.
'tism is more like, complete ROM sets and stuff like that. 'tists aren't always collectors, most of the times they aren't. Collectors are more like regular dudes who are bored with their life and wanted to get a sort of hobby.
Good thread, why /vr/ is sometimes worth coming to.

Where did I say that I collect obi?
>fancies himself an oldfag
Just because I struck some nerves calling late bandwagoner jumpers doesn't mean I want to "fancy" myself an oldfag. I just am.

Reminder that if you bought a game without obi you can't brag that you own it.
