The only Zelda games I've played are Minish Cap and half

Play the normal version first, then Master Quest as a second quest. Does Minish Cap have a second quest? At any rate the 3DS versions are more solid than the GameCube versions, I'm told.

Hell no! Master Quest exists purely to challenge people who already know the dungeon layouts, as that's the only thing changed. If you're going in blind you should play the vanilla game.

The GC / Master Quest disc is fine. The emulation quality isn't perfect, but it's far better than anything you'll achieve on your computer. The VC version is more or less the same.

I'm not sure why you'd want to play MQ first, however. It's just OoT with rearranged dungeons, some of which may be quite obtuse if you've never touched OoT in the first place.

You don't want to fuck with Gamecube Majora's mask, it has a tendency to lock up in the middle of gameplay, drop to single digit FPS and be generally horrible. What kind of audio issues are we talking? You could try a different wad.

It requires you to do some stuff in unconventional ways that only an experienced player would be able to figure out. Its awkward and plays like a romhack or something, it's not nearly as fun as vanilla.

I'm not saying don't play it at all, but I don't even know why you'd want to play it first other than some faggy bragging rights that will impress exactly no one.
