I think I'm developing a weird addiction to mediocre 5th gen movie tie-ins.

Why is Konami involved in this mess ? I don't know what to expect, and it makes me curious
Then you have a lot to look forward to, years of joy ahead. envy you
>>3835830
Shit, I remember this game.
It was oddly endearing despite being pretty much garbage, maybe because all of the silly icons for object and power ups were pretty arcade-y in a way.
It wasn't even that bad at the end of the day, the controls were a bit clunky and the level design left a lot to be desired but it was not offensively bad.
>>3836291
That's a very convincing argument
>>3835830
Play this next.
Done right.
>>3835830
I recall this being a weird tomb raider clone and none of the original actors did any voices for this
it was a neat game though
Is the Toy Story 2 game worth playing? It looks neat.
If so, what platform should I try and get it on?
>>3837769
It's ok, pretty easy and straightforward Mario 64 clone. Dreamcast has the best console port, dunno about the PC version.
>>3837769
It's a 3D adventure platformer with open level design done right, basically each stage is a combination of exploration, collectibles, hazards and npc's who give you challenges. Fun game.
I played it on PS1 so I can't really say anything about different platforms, I think N64 version is missing the movie clips that play between levels.
kinda okay I guess
>>3837056
I prefer the LucasArts version.

I never knew this was Lucas Arts

Play The Fifth Element game.

>>3837769
It's pretty good but also pretty short and easy. I managed to complete it 100% in just one day.
>>3835830
But the mummy was already a PS1 game
>>3839391
looks more like a ps2 game so not retro reeee
I was reminded of this.
A Bug's Life is surprisingly good and has a nice OST.

This man must be so frightened of modern games he's given up video games entirely. Like how could you possibly be expected to use both of your hands at once in a co-ordinated effort.
FPS went down hill after this man, gone are the days when people would be honorable and considerate in Quake and let you stop stand still and then look up with the page up and down keys.
>>3837047
Noooo holy shit. That game is part of my childhood. Damn it.
>>3835830
It's because they're still better than modern AAA trash. They at least tried to be good.

RAGGGGHHH NOW YOU DIEEEE
>>3840438
I keep on forgetting that movie exists.
>>3835830
That movie was terrible
>>3837047
I beat it a few months ago, i even posted about it here on /vr/.
The game has nice visuals and decent music, but 90% of the game is "find x to open door and proceed to next room, where you'll need to find y to open the next door" and it gets boring quite fast.
You don't even need to use the crystals to empower the boomerang since you can beat almost anything by just spamming it.
I also never watched the movie, and probably never will.
>>3837056
Based anon. This is an actual good game.
Not exactly a movie, a tv show instead
but i love this game, atmospheric as fuck, not exactly a survival horror but it borrows some stuff from it, really recommended it.
>>3847992
oh shit, I remember this show
>barely
I may have to pick this up
>>3835830
oddly I remember this game having great sound effects
>>3847992
didnt even know this existed
>>3847992
I'm more impressed by that random Tommy Wiseau figure.
>>3837769
Oh man. They had introduced PC games at a McDonald's in my town, and they were filled with a bunch of different neat kids games, like hot wheels and some construction thing, but I want to say they also had the toy story 2 game and it was amazingly deep, at least at that age.

Legit
I personaly think movie tie in games are not as bad as the critics love to shout about.
Same shit with movies based on video games. The critics all go in with the standard its a video game movie they are not good by default mind set. same with us and movie tie in games. yes there are stinkers but goldeneye was good and a few others are perfectly pass able as this thread shows.
>>3847992
That tommy bust is awesome. I only like The Room ironicly. So it rings with me.

Kek
The first game I ever played with that scheme was red faction, felt totally unplayable at first
>>3848532
Yeah i remember when the cross over started. It was weird at first, but now its strange to play an fps without that scheme, i gotta readjust and shit....medal of honor
Try this sometime OP. Loved it when i was younger.
The draw distance is a little bit crappy, but the game is fun, and the soundtrack is surprisingly excellent.
While I'm at it, Alien trilogy is fantastic, Jurassic Park operation genesis and lost world on ps2/ps1.
Bug's Life on PS1 is a fun game with nice graphics.
Most kids films translate well into games I find.
Oh, and one of the very best of the lot: harry potter on ps1.
Enjoy!
>>3847992
You should describe it to us.
>>3850452
There is a lot to dislike about the game honestly, but for me the atmosphere is what does it, controls are kind of sloppy and in a way is tank control but with auto aim, what i like is that the aliens you fight sneak from weird places and for some reason the music glitches out and the game becomes completely silent, in a way is really scary for a ps1 shovelware game, cant say too much about it, there aren`t many videos on youtube but a guy uploaded a walktrough which for me is impressive because there was virtually zero info on the internet about it. Also this glitch, is in every game, i`ve tried multiple copies, is one of those games that becomes decent because of his flaws, i only can recommended it, if like OP you are into this stuff, mediocre games or if you have tired all your ps1 horror game library and you need moar.
