>Anniversary can't even be compared to this, they said
Also bonus levels were plain horrible.
Old TR games are sadly painful to play today. I'm too spoiled my modern controls now.

I hate qte just like the next anon, but it was actually well done. Also game mechanics from the legend such as wallrunning with grapple, balancing on columns, jumping from bar to a bar were nicely implemented into the existing levels.
Given the choice, I'd take the precise player-centric controls and simple combat of the original, over the sloppy analog controls, hit-or-miss semi-auto platforming, and QTEs of Anniversary.
Crystal Dynamic's trilogy were decent games and Anniversary was a good attempt at a remake, but they're so different to play, they can't really be compared. I would have still liked a TR Anniversary 2, before they totally fucked the series beyond recognition, however.
>tfw your favorite childhood franchise is now destroyed
It's amazing how the latest TR are so shitty, it's literally "QTE simulator: The Games". I loved the Crystal Dynamic's trilogy, I got to see the end of it 10 years later because I never got to play Underworld on PS2.
