The only thing Rondo shares with this game is setting and some sprites. The levels and bosses are almost all completely different and CVX plays more like a regular Castlevania and loses the fan service additions and the weeb feel. I like those aspects of Rondo myself, but CVX is still great. Feels like it takes itself a lot more seriously.

The first level looks good in both games.
It's the rest of the levels that make DX look more polished than Rondo.

Playing Rondo right now, I noticed they got rid of the roman numeral tokens. What's weird though, is that sometimes Richter can throw only one subweapon at a time, other times he can throw it more. Is there something I'm missing?
