getting through arroyo is a pain in the ass tho. OP i'm almost positive theres a mod that lets you skip the cave of trials or w/e. after that like>>3820712

Use a save editor

You can just run past the ants and then pickpocket the key from the dude. Then you don't even have to worry about combat until after you've already found or even bought a gun.
