What is the greatest 2.5D belt-scrolling fighting game of all time?
>>3803030
>belt-scrolling
No such thing.
>>3803050
It's a thing. Basically is a side-scroller that has some z-depth to it, so you can move up and down a bit.

>genre classifications don't count unless they're used by 'murricunts.
D.D. Crew
Double Dragon 3 arcade
Fantastic Four
Bebe's Kids
Or the non-retro Marvel Ultimate Alliance GBA
The very best.

DD Crew is unpolished but nowhere near as bad as the others
>>3803258
Fuck off weeb

>D.D. Crew
whoooooooah

Belt scroller? Oh, do you mean a multiplain slug n' roll?
>>3803319
Cry some moar!
>>3803341
What is it about the term belt-scroller that triggers the autism of anti-weebs and jokers so much? I prefer the term beat-'em-ups myself (since I don't give a shit about belt-scrolling shooters like Aliens and NARC), but I don't mind the term itself.
>>3803341
>a multiplain slug n' roll
When will you burgers learn? It's called a crabwalking punch'n'move with power-up elements.
D&D shadow over mystara
>>3803030
For me its usually Turtles in Time or Streets of Rage 2
Both have responsive and good controls, stylized graphics, and great music.
While games like Chronicles of Mystara are great and have much better combat systems, I just didn't play them as much.
>>3803030
The patrician choice
>>3803304
The same could be said for Fantastic Four. If it wasn't for the awful controls that use every button for what should be a simple beat em up the game would be just bad and ugly, not awful.
>>3803030
D&D: Shadow Over Mystara
Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder
Aliens vs Predator
>>3803030
Dynamite Deka
So how many of these games have you guys actually 1CC?Alone or co-op?
>mfw when americans call a rumpy pumpy jump and punchy a "belt scroller"
My favorite scoot n boot is probably SoR2.
>>3804462
Not 2D or 2.5D
>>3804480
All Capcom brawlers + about 10 from other companies,

No such thing, butt nugget.
Go ahead, find mention of whatever this "belt scrolling" is here:

It's right in the title: ベルトスクロール
>>3803030
>belt-scrolling
Never heard of the term till a year ago on this board. Super Mario Bros is a belt scroller. Every 16bit game.
2.5D is supposed to be a 2d game with 3d rendered graphics. So Nights into Dreams is a belt scroller now.
>>3804823
Super Mario Bros has a orthogonal side view.
Belt scrollers don't.
Violent Storm by Konami is just a complete fucking riot to play. I don't have a single bad thing to say about it. Here's the first stage song if you need a little push.
