What do you think of Tsumi To Batsu? I think it's too overrated. The story was awful; I couldn't even tell what was going on because of the low-quality vocals, choppy animations and lack of context. Despite that, the game developers were obviously trying to put an emphasis on story because there were so many cut scenes. They gameplay was OK at best, I've played much better shooting games. What is it that gives this game such a good reputation?

Y'know, I don't think the story's actually THAT hard to follow. Vocals sounded fine to me.
And if you want the gameplay to be at it's best you're gonna have to play through the whole thing a few times on a higher difficulty each time. Yeah it's bullshit but consider it training for the real deal.

Sequel is better.
It's just delicious gaming excess.
Stuff to shoot, points to rack up, the whole on-the-groundness lending itself well to avoiding stuff and simple platforming, the soundtrack sounding like a guy masturbating with a synth and jizzing forth tuneless garbage that SOUNDS AMAZING cus you're blowing shit up to GET BONUS.
Playing a lot of Treasure games you just accept dudes CAN turn into giant mechs and defend Earth from missile attacks fired by creepy lolis. I think the weirdest thing in this game is the character designs. Everyone has this lifeless look to them, and the skinny, polygonny characters look quite stylish.
I do prefer this one to 2, which while good, was more Space Harrier than Wild Guns. Jumping requires more creativeness than flying.
