>Every game is a bootleg from Mexico
>Despite this, everyone asking $100-$200 a game
>Try to buy home carts & they're $1000 each
Is there any reason to own a Neo Geo if you're not a Billionaire?
>>3786491
My local arcade has an MVS.
With two games, Samurai Shodown 4 and kof 98'.
It runs like a fucking Rolls Royce, you just can't replicate the performance emulated.
>>3786509
>you just can't replicate the performance emulated.
What issues do you run into when emulating? What's the difference?
>>3786491
its kinda cool sometimes.
Otherwise just use fightcade.
>>3786512
It never lags.
Input it's instantaneous, you press the button something happens.
That's extremely well build hardware, best quality materials.
It does the frames in real time, it doesn't pretends to do it.
>>3786549
Ah ok, that makes sense. There's a flash cartridge in development right now, any interest on /vr/ in that?
>>3786549
this doesn't make any sense
>>3786491
Sure. I'm only a double digit millionaire and I have 2 MVS and an AES.
If you have an arcade and don't have an MVS you're doing it wrong.
Neogeo aes was incredible fun back in the day. Ebay scalpers and the cancerous morons at neo-geo dot com totally ruined it for everyone. Makes not much sense to get into aes collecting in 2017.
Meme console for tryhard showoffs
That being said I've never actually played one
>>3786815
>That being said I've never actually played one
then shut up.
>>3786807
>the cancerous morons at neo-geo dot com
They only sell/trade between each other & don't use eBay prices because they think it's unfair. How are they driving up prices exactly?
>>3786905
Reread OP's post again
>Ebay scalpers
>Cancerous morons at neo-geo dot com
There are 2 choices to get your games. One is full of scalpers, the other is full of faggots known for getting scammed regularly and being insanely elitist over dumb shit. He's making the argument against buying AES carts in the first place
>>3786905
Being party poopers and unfun, psychotic pricks maybe? Not sure they ever drove prices up. Well the fucking store always had insane high prices even before the ebay scalpers. Stop defending those lame fucks.
>>3786598
>any interest on /vr/ in that?
I got myself a 138-in-1 MVS cartridge, did dip switch and sound mods to it, and also own MVS Metal Slug X (not on 138 cartridge).
After getting Windjammers, I would probably have all "good" games, so no interest in flash cartridge.
>>3786947
I bought windjammers mvs for 25 euros on ebay two years ago. When i see those prices now i just burst out laughing. They made like 35000+ of that game, thus its by no means rare.
>>3786993
I love that MVS carts have actual production numbers on them. I wonder how many of those carts have still survived though.
>>3786598
Not in development, the developers are already delivering it.
Got the one for MVS and is delightful... no more chinese multicart bullshit as these things are half finished from factory.
Unless you are good with a solder and get the 138 in 1 and 161 in 1 cheap, I'd save for a neosd and carry on.
>>3786610
>I'm only a double digit millionaire
Good humblebrag.
>>3786491
>Expensive system for elitist assholes in 1991
>Expensive system for elitist assholes in 2017
Why are you surprised?
>>3787878
The aes certainly always drew a lot of assholes that weren't really gamers. Best way to avoid that pitfall is to actually play your neogeo games and stay away from the retarded forums.
>>3787870
Is that Third Reich Mike?

A SAVIOUR COMES FROM OUT THE SKIES IN ANSWER TO THEIR PLEAS

Aldo Maccione, the Italian legend.
>>3787919
Maybe during your lifetime. When it first came out it was nearly all gamers.
