what are some good games with a medieval aesthetic? i love this kind of look, especially if its a darker aesthetic, like wizards & warriors, ghouls forest 3, hell even the NES friday the 13th game
any games worth playing with this kind of feel going for it? not limited to 1 genre or time period

Sword Master
Castle of Dragon
Magic Sword (Arcade/SNES)
Wizards and Warriors always looked really bland and generic to me. More like a master system game, barely took advantage of any of the NES's graphical capabilities. A minor investment in upgrading the spritework would've made the entire franchise a lot more appealing...

it could have been cartoony-looking on purpose. maybe just a certain artstyle; after all, crysis and tf2 came out in the same year and those 2 look drastically different, but for certain reasons

Obviously the Amiga is the pinacle of all the ports but I mistakenly thought OP was looking for NES games.

Amiga version looked the best but was rushed and lacked a few features.
Commodore 64 version had the most features but shitty load times.
Atari ST had the best of both worlds.
