There are bazillions of fighters where you can do that. Recent JJBA games for all JoJo fapping needs. Jump games if you need a JJBA VS Goku/Naruto/Ichigo/insert shonen manga match. Melty Blood aka Touhou of 2D fighters. Gundam Wing Endless Duel which is an actually good game. Sailor Moon fighters on SNES.

But you can have neat dialogues between characters from DIFFERENT parts, how this is not a interesting fanservice? Also, you can only play with characters from Part 3 in HftF, which still is neat but not exactly the same level of hype as the entire series.

The way I see:
