Does anyone have any experience with the GDEMU drives for Dreamcast? I have a couple with bad GD drives and was thinking about buying one.

get a usb gdrom
I too want one. On Io's page it seems like there may be a new small batch to be opened up for orders around February, and possibly a larger one around May. I am eagerly awaiting for them, even though my drives are still functional, but it seems nice to reduce the noise the console makes (it will still have the fan noise as that is required for the whole system to turn on.
I am also considering those 3D printed trays for these drive replacements. Since I do not have any 3D printers, and will likely have to rely on the 3D hubs printing service, has anyone used that for these trays? About how much do they cost shipped?

Someone I know of got a GDemu. He was the one to introduce me to the device/fan project. I get so jealous of the love he has for it. I am eagerly awaiting for the next availability window from Io.

I'm not a big fan of the Dreamcast so I wouldn't get one for 160$.
What I know is that the Serial Adapter is very laggy on every games.
I also know that DCIO is on the way (it is PSIO for the Dreamcast)
This one might be much cheaper.
I do have a Saturn Rhea and it works really fine.

Explain?
What is this USB GDROM?
I know there was a very complicated hack for the IDE hard drive a long time ago, but USB drives seem perfect for the Dreamcast.
