What does /vr/ think of Dark Colony ? I remember having a good

Sy-Demon was a cool as shit design

Had to Youtube it to make sure it was what I thought it was. Standard RTS, nothing special except that it ran on the Macintosh, also. I don't remember anything special.

I love dark colony! The UI design was wonderful and super consistent. And it has fantastic detail! Hard as fuck too.

If you really like the alien grey designs then this is a good game for you. .sides having different units but they are pretty much exact copies of each-other. Humans fight better in the day while aliens fight better in the night. There is a gritty, old school aliens invasion feeling going that is pretty cool but honestly I can't imagine playing this game for too long. Unlike C&C or Starcraft, the sides are too similar and there doesn't seem to be a strong balance with the day/night system. The art direction is cool though.
