It's an alternate(and much harder) version of e1m8. 21 years after DOOM's release and he made a map, the absolute madman.

As for you, OP. Obviously you should have just gone and checked the ever-present Doom thread (you fool!) but this small thread here has some very sensible suggestions in it so you should be golden either way. Allow me to second Hell Revealed (the first one) for what may be your first jaunt into custom megawads. Be sure to load the music wad, too.
