Landstalker.

Overlooked isometric action-adventure similar to a Zelda.. But not quite the same. It has its enjoyable moments and its challenging to get used to the platforming. Some people may really enjoy it.

Its certainly old-school but it gives you that old type game feeling. Which I always loved.

Sonic 1 and 2 are obvious picks. Also, Altered Beast, Streets of Rage 1 - 3, Golden Axe 1 - 3, NBA Jam (trust me on this), Aladdin, The Lion King, Comix Zone, Castle of Illusion, Pulseman, Ristar, Sub-Terrania, Vectorman. Those are just some off the top of my head.

Not a single Genesis/Megadrive game requires a 32X or Sega CD.

Just load a full set of genesis roms on a SDcard and try them all out. Remember no lightgun games or stuff that requires you to save will work. Then there are random games that just do not work like Zombies ate my neighbors. But for the 12 bucks I spent for the system and a sdcard it is a decent little portable system.

Sure the sound is off. But fuck that turn it off and put on a cd or something.
