>tfw 50Hz 2-chip SNES
Would it be cheaper to just buy a Super Famicom than to mod my SNES to make it acceptable?
I can understand how 50Hz would be considered inferior, but what the fuck is the big deal about 2-chip vs 1-chip?

5-12% improvement in performance.
Come on, anon.

If you lack a soldering iron and any knowledge of using one it might potentially be more sensible to just get a SFC. Otherwise, just mod it for 60hz and be happy to play video games.

The 2-chip is actually the best version of the SNES.
1-chip is literally an officially licensed clone console that Nintendo themselves released.

That would depends on how much you're overpaying for the SFC or mod, wouldn't it? You could also just buy the official 60hz SNES. I paid $5 for mine.
