Why does everyone love this game so much? I could never get the hang of it as a kid and I still can't now.
The controls feel like you're constantly on a layer of ice, everything feels so slippery, like there's a slight delay on the input
I don't see how a game like this could be shat out and praised as much as it is, especially when F-zero launched with the super nintendo and has some of the tightest controls out of any racing game I've played on the SNES
I don't know either, never really liked it. Probably just a nostalgia thing. DD is superior

> cites double dash as an actually good MK game
You're a blind hypocrite, anon.

Yeah, kind of like racing an actual go-kart on those tracks. Go Figure.

1. Mario
2. You can play with 8 characters, with 4 styles of gameplay, choosing three difficulty settings.
3. Full of power Ups and items, not gimmicky shit, all of them useful.
4. Great 2-player fun. Battle Mode. Everything running smoothly.
5. You need to get good, it's not luck based shitfest like the sequels.
The only real downsides of SMK are the short tracks and single player mode with split screen.
