My movie theater also has video games, so you are actually completely wrong.

I live in a tiny arse town in Ohio and we have 2 full arcades and a third scheduled to open this spring, as well as random machines in bars, bowling alleys, and at both theatres. Yer daft mate.

I've been trying to convince a casino owner I do computer stuff for to lend me money to open a barcade.

It's just to hard to get someone to maintain these things anymore. Movie theatres and business owners want to make a quick buck but have the time them machines don't even work or are sub-par.

Although it will never be like it once was, the arcade scene is very active. It's just in people's basements now instead of brick and mortar locations.

Nah, you're just unlucky enough to live in a place without a retrocede. There's one in my town with most of the classics, as well as some 4-player greats like TMNT, Simpsons, and X-Men, too. They also have air-hockey, a pool table in the back, and several large TV's with couches set up for you to bring your own consoles and have a tourney with friends.

Oh, also byob, and everything is set to free play (pay per hour). I've even taken girls on dates there. Place is fuggin' great!
