What is the best website for buying NES games, preferably with international shipping?
>>
>>3678427
A little site, you may have heard of it, called "ebay."
>>
>>3678475
I actually think Amazon is a bit better, but ebay isn't bad. If you don't care if they are reproduction carts, just order off of Ali Express, or better yet if you can afford it, just buy a flash cart.

>If you don't care if they are reproduction carts

Uhh, you realize you're talking about counterfeit items, right? There is no such thing as a 'reproduction cart'. If you receive one, you should report the seller.

You certainly are.

You mom lol!!!

the early 2000's happened and thus the retro boom for some reason. Either way copies of mega man were $100 as early as 2001.

get a flashcart and just fill a shelf with reproduction boxes.
>>
OP, go straight to aliexpress, it's a chink site that sells reproduction games. You can buy nes carts which have 400 games per cart for about 20 shipped. That way you don't have to throw all your money into the void that is retro game collectinf and you still get to play on original hardware.

This is the way to go, but if you're buying NES bootlegs you're doing it wrong. You end up paying like an extra $10 for an NES shell when the same games are $4-8 for the Famicom versions.
>>
>>3679409
The adapter with the lockout chip in it's worth the extra $10-$15 but you're right it's best to just buy an adapter one time and plug Famicom bootlegs into it from then on.
>>
>>3679436
Exactly, will save money in the long run.

I buy bootlegs occasionally because they're fun impulse buys and I like getting things in the mail. Sometimes a multicart is just convenient if I'm playing with friends or just want to jam through some arcade ports. I've been collecting 'authentic' Famicom hardware and software for well over a decade. Don't project your insecurities on me, asshat.

eBay. Noe even trying to be a smartass, but it probably is your best bet. Most dedicated retro shops will charge Jewbay rates if not higher and the selection will be far limited.

>>
>>3679621
Why would I pay an import service to place and send my orders to me? You're not saving any money at that point. Also who cares when you're spending $5-7 on a bootleg famicom game with free shipping?
>>
>>3679635
>paying $7 instead of $3
>not knowing to buy a bunch and have import service combine the shipping which only comes out to $5 or so anyway
>>
>>3679641
Why not just emulate, smart guy? It's free.
>>
>>3679648
Muh original hardware etc... I do emulate sometimes.
>>
>>3679641
I'll take the $4 as a convenience charge. Fuck import services. You only need like the 2 good multicarts, it's a one-time purchase. I have an EverDrive N8 for everything else, which I also ordered from china.
>>
>>3679651
That's a $4 convenience charge per cartridge. In /csg/ we call that getting chinked. The import service I use takes pictures of each item before they send it to me and they're also willing to handle any disputes with the seller. Most importantly they use a faster shipping option than your typical aliexpress seller will use. The everdrives and other flash carts have a higher foreigner tax than the pirate carts do, people keep paying it though.
>>
>>3679654
Yeah, yeah we all know about /csg/. And we all know that most of you shop from Ali anyway. What you're describing sounds like a colossal pain in the ass to have 1-3 pieces of plastic with PCBs inside mailed to you. Not fucking worth it. I don't want to email with some dude in China, I want to send them <$10 and have something mailed to me in 2-4 weeks. It's a game you play for burger money when you're bored, not some irritating import process.
>>
>>3679660
You act like having a 3 minute Skype conversation is the hardest thing in the world. That stuff is steadily disappearing from ali and even taobao at this point. Pretty soon there will be no choice but to have somewhat of an understanding of how the Chinese market works.
>>
>>3679665
Bootlegs aren't disappearing at all, there's thousands and thousands of them and new ones get added all the time. EverDrives are no longer available on Ali, but you can just DM a seller and buy one anytime. You're actually skyping with sellers to save $4? That's insane.
>>
>>3679482
Sorry to trigger you.
>>
>>3679672
I save a lot more than $4 when it comes to the flash carts. I probably pay 50% less than you and instead of using a cumbersome messaging system on a site to talk to somebody with a poor understanding of English I have instant contact with someone who takes care of it for me.
>>
>>3679648
Emulation sucks bro. Lag, artifacting and crashes.
>>
>>3679683
You're saying that cause you think it'll stir up people don't you? If not, you're not trolling well. Should have said that in a N64 or Saturn thread or something, not on a NES one cause that system is perfectly emulated and if you setup things well you don't even notice lag.
>>
>>3679678
>I buy flash carts for $20-$30, shipped
No you don't
>>
>>3679713
$36 shipped, sure. That's how much I paid for my genesis everdrive.

https://world.taobao.com/item/44636064435.htm?spm=a312a.7700714.0.0.j7iZJ9#detail

Paid a lot more for my clone sd2snes but it should be obvious why that's the case.
>>
>>3679675
No triggers here, you just tagged the wrong hombre
>>
>>3679715
That's how much they were on Ali too.
>>
>>3679756
>were

Now chinks are selling them on ebay for $60-80
>>
>>3679757
Well yeah, buying chinese shit on eBay is a fool's errand.
>>
>>3679762
For a lot of things the prices are the exact same thing as ali, but the chinks see the prices the few domestic sellers are charging for everdrives and set theirs accordingly.
