I have a problem. I bought Crash Bandicoot 3 off of Amazon, and when I play it, it keeps pausing and un-pausing.
What do I do?

Unplug your controller, and plug it back in? Maybe you have a bad connection. Beyond that, I have no idea.

My controller works fine on all the other games I have.

Is the disc badly scratched?
Seriously wish i could help you, but i've never heard of this problem before.
It could be the plug on your controller, but if it's working fine on other games maybe the game is just too badly scratched.
That's what you get for not just using an emulator.
Broken cable in your controller.
PS1 and PS2 controllers use shithouse cabling that is prone to breaking internally.

If it's not the controller, it's probably the disc. Find your local retro video game shop such as Game Exchange and ask them to polish the disc for you. They usually have a machine there that does just that.

Why don't you pop the disc in the computer and emulate it, just to see what happens?

pc cd-rom is always going to read discs better than the 20 year old shit lasers in those ps1s.
