Has anyone played the Magic Carpet games? I got them off of GoG. I got to level 30 out of 75 and called it quits because the levels are pretty repetitious and average to about 40 minutes. So I moved onto the sequel. There are only 25 levels but there is much more variety, feels more like a proper vidya.
Just wanted to give you some input on these games used to play the hell out of em. Back in 94 my friends dad got Magic Carpet 1 the other worlds and we played the hell out of it. I loved the crazy monsters on it and the spells. The level were long I get you on that but damm scorched earth on the levels was great. As for part two I liked the increase in spells they gave you, and the day and night maps. I didn't really care for the underground maps myself. The multiplayer part is a plus too. I just felt it was too short. My favorite is the first one, but two is good for the multiplayer. Just wanted more maps. Anyways good game man.
Should I try this if I liked Sacrifice? Are the two games comparable at all?

If I'd played these games as a kid I probably wouldn't have minded the length of the first game, but now I get bored of repetition, I want to spend my time doing something else.
In a way 2 does feel like a downgrade in the sense that it's far easier, but I think it's more fun than playing playing slightly different versions of the same map. I do like it more than the first overall, it reminds me of Fury3 and Terminal Velocity.

I don't think Sacrifice is much like this.
