Does anyone here make a point of getting multiple versions/regions of the same consoles?
On one hand it makes it easier to find the games you want to play.
On the other hand it sure takes up a lot of space. You might barely get any use out of some of them.
Just get a Action Replay you dummie.

this, just buy the console version you like the most and find a way to play all (or most games) on them

I do.
Yeah it takes up space but my game collection takes up way more lol.
As long as you have each system displayed nice and hooked up(or have it so it can be hooked up quickly) then you will use it more.
If you buy multiple systems and you end up just storing them then it's kind of a waste because you will never play them as much.
Plus a lot of the import systems look really cool. Always liked the all white/ grey+blue Saturn, the famicom looks cool, etc.
>region hack + swap trick
Fixed.

action replay won't make your console do this on startup.

I want the skeleton saturn

I think you didn't particularly got the larger point that most consoles have adapters or ways of getting over region locks.

I purchase the superior version, in general.
With Saturn, I don't think there's a definitive decision whether or not Model 1 or Model 2 is better.

Model 1 has the more expensive components. But I would assume Model 2 is more efficient and runs better?

>you didn't got what i didn't said
Many older systems have serious issues playing games from a different region or simply can't play them at all. Also, I pay less for systems than you pay for adapters. So it's only a matter of space. Since I don't live in my moms basement that's not an issue for me.

no.

Actually some sega ages games have a hard time running on the model 2's,from what i understand this due to a slight change in the components used on the model 2's vs the 1's,oculd be wrong, but i think outrun and i can't remember the other one basically don't run properly on the model 2
the saturn is a bad example because region free on it is extremely easy to achieve. just buy your favorite version (and there are so many good ones to choose from) and buy an action replay.
the ps2 is worth owning both na and jp regions for though, because hardmodding it is damn near impossible and installing free mcboot doesn't enable region free for non-burnt ps1 and ps2 games.

>swap trick
not good for the console anon, just pick up an action replay.
