>Borders that can change mid-game
>Using the SNES' audio for SFX or music
>Using different 4 color palletes for different parts of the screen.
>Changing color scheme depending on what area of the game you're in
>Adding 2 player modes (that don't require second screen)
>Putting an entire (though very small) SNES came on a GB cart
>Very few GB games did even one of these things.
Is this the biggest waste of potential in vidya?

I like it. I like thegamecube's playerbetter though.
>>3644270
probably so for lowest price point/highest potential for retro games but Nintendo is basically built around failed potential
Speaking of the super gameboy; if I'm going to get one should I get the original, or import the SGB2 from japland for the ability to use the link cable?
I like how in Pokemon Red and Blue, the game will change to the appropriate color when you're in a town. Like Boulder City is grey, Cerulean City is blue, etc.
Thought that was a really cool touch, and wish the GBC had that effect.

Get a SGB2. The original SGB has inaccurate timing (it's slightly slower).

>>3644303
Timing accuracy, more borders, link cable, dat clear blue casing - SGB2, no question. Fortunately they're not too expensive yet.
>>3644312
I thought it was slightly faster
>>3644312
Slightly faster, not slower.
Almost unnoticeable unless you do side-to-side comparison.
>>3644308
Technically speaking, Pokemon Yellow did more or less the same thing on a GBC.
>>3644352
but only in the International version; the JP version came out before the gameboy Color
>>3644275
The gamecube has the shittiest d-pad in known history.
>>3644270
Most GB games were developed before that released so they had no way of implementing said features, and GBC was released soon afterwards thus rendering the idea obsolete...
>>3644579
Sorry you said Xbox 360 wrong
>>3644270
>Putting an entire (though very small) SNES came on a GB cart
Were there any games that did that other than Space Invaders?
>>3644869
not that i know of
also OP: because that shit was expensive
why'd you waste countless hours on something that only a handful will see
>>3644308
Weeb tripfag detected.
Doesn't get better than playing Link's Awakening with this frame, friends.

It's been here forever. Just ignore it.
Could an Everdrive GB work on a Super Game Boy?
>>3645891
thats the point of flashcarts
>>3644270
Which one is better, the SNES or the Gamecube one?
>>3644592
>soon after
>4 years later
Anon...
>>3645929
SGB had all those features while GBplayer had shitty basic borders, some framerate issues and rumble features
>>3644312
I just bought 33 off eBay to horde. I'll enjoy doubling my sheckles in a few weeks...
>>3644312
It's faster.
I like it anons
Dont even have a regular GB myself but i got this with quite a few games
Tbh i want a GB lite but shit is expensive
Is it possible to use the SGB 2 without modifications?
>>3646120
If you're not a PAL pleb, all you have to do is trim the tabs in the SNES's cartridge slot. Takes like 5 minutes.
