How the fuck do I even get the whistle when going swordless in

Try going to level 6 and getting the wand. It works pretty well as a sword replacement.

That's what my plan was but there are too many wizzrobes. There is enough for 8 bombs exact but that's the thing. I don't want to waste my time going back from the start to 6 having to retry over and over to get the perfect timing so I planned on getting more bombs instead to make it at least tolerable but now this happened.

I literally just beat it normally with everything obtained last week and am still in a Zelda mood. I wanted to do this before the 2nd quest. Gonna try to actually play though it without any walkthroughs like I did with the 1st many years ago so I can finally have a pure Zelda experience.

just beat dungeons 1-8 and heading for Death Mountain right now. I know you can't beat Ganon without the sword but I'm happy that I got this far.
