>Lol let's call it G Darius so all the dyslexic Gradius fans buy our game!
This is my shitty excuse to start a Gradius vs Darius thread. Which do you prefer? Gradius upgrade system is definitely cooler
You mean it's not a reference to G Gundam?

You're stupid. Poop yourself.

This makes no sense m8y I prefer Coke over Pepsi yet R-Type over Gradius.
>>3631728
>R-Type over Gradius.
Why? R-Type is casualised Gradius.
R-Type vs. Gradius design:
>infinite shield / shield can only take a few hits
>2 loops vs. infinite loops
>easier to recover from deaths / harder recovery
>no boss rushes / boss rush is a staple of the series
>powerful weapons / balanced weapons
>streamlined level designs / daunting level designs
>forgettable rank system / evil rank system
>>3631728
It's just a shitposting image made from an idiot who doesn't actually play these games, don't try to make sense of it.

>americlaps compare everything with food.
>>3631752
>easier to recover from deaths / harder recovery
Not really, both series are known for being unforgiving with deaths.
>powerful weapons / balanced weapons
Gradius II and III have many useless weapon types, while the original R-Type made a good use of all weapons for each stage. R-Type II fucked up though since the red laser is the only good weapon.
>streamlined level designs / daunting level designs
doesn't make sense.

G. Darius is fun and relaxing shmup, especially with the boss rush mode.
Gradius doesn't look as nice and it is a lot more difficult to master.
They are both good games.
I like Darius because you can choose your path throughout the game like OutRun.
