Any of the main series Nintendo games are a good bet. Aladdin is a pretty okay platformer. Fzero is a great racing game.

Killer Instinct SNES is also better on console. Arcade has better graphs and sound, but SNES version was released later, obviously, and fixed glitches and better balance. Also practice mode.

I'm with you on that OP. Fucking hate RPG games. ESPECIALLY JRPGs. Most boring fucking genre thats been spammed to fucking death. People bitch about platformers and shooters but at least those games keep you engaged. It really is true what Yamauchi said.

That, and Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 are the top 3 platformers ever.

This. Chrono Trigger is probably one of the best intros into RPGs. It's got a lot of depth, yet it's relatively simple overall and easy to pick up. The only problem is it might set your standards too high.

Super Mario RPG as well, though that may be too easy.
