Didn't see a repair general up, so I'll just make thread.
The right trigger of my Saturn 3D pad isn't working anymore.
I know there is a magnet that can fall out of the trigger, but I glued it in and it's still in place.
I'll post pics as I go.
I feel like it's this that's causing trouble. Not exactly sure, though. I'm an amateur when it comes to circuitry and electronics. I do have experience with a soldering iron, though.
Do you think I may have broken one of the wires? I doesn't look like I did.
I even used a soldering iron to reheat the lead.
Here's the part that connects to the motherboard. None of these look broken off, but I don't know for sure.
Last one. This is where it connects. Reheated the lead, but I get the same results.
That line that looks like a "1" on top is actually a very tiny amount of excess lead I can't get off.
So, what do you say, /vr/?
Will you help me?
Use a multimeter to check continuity of the wires and of the PCBs to look for broken traces.
You don't have to bump this amount here...the board is slow.

There's no wire protruding on the red striped lead

>>>/vg/ and don't come back

There was always a repair/mod general going on here.
Unless /vr/ stopped doing those, that is.

For basic test like countinuity any cheap one will work
>>3628184
True. I know of one that's like $6 that will do continuity and voltage. That's all you really need for this type of basic stuff

Spray some ISO or wd40 in there and work it
probably a cold solder joint
maybe cracked from use of the trigger
What's with the serial-killer gloves?
