ITT: Games you'll likely never experience again due to them being lost to time.
Earthbound 64, and not the shitty 4kids version on GBA.

You can emulate it on ssf i replayed it on a toaster around 2010, so you can replay it too now
>>3625203
Just buy a saturn and use psuedo saturn
How is this lost to time? There are verified dumps of it floating around online, multiple ways of playing burned discs on a Saturn as well as a Saturn emulator that doesn't completely suck ass (mednafen)

>You can emulate it on ssf i replayed it on a toaster around 2010, so you can replay it too now
I played it on SSF back in 2006 and it had maybe 2 graphics glitches at most. That was back on a socket 939 Athlon 64 X2. Any toaster except maybe dedicated netbooks could run it now.

Mednafen requires an i7 to run Saturn games right.

4kids version? what?
>>3625749
He doesn't mean it literally.
I thought the Saturn protection was just blown open this year?
You're all telling me there are ways I can play my Saturn with burnt discs?
>>3625773
But what does he mean, even figuratively?
>>3625746
>Mednafen requires an i7 to run Saturn games right.
It's needs a decent rig, but that's some hyperbole right there.
>>3625203
I heard this game isn't necessarily good, just sought-after for its rarity.

Remember 4Kids TV? Cable TV saturday morning cartoon programming that would often play anime like DBZ, Shaman King, Digimon etc. They were notorious for making drastic changes in the english dub to PG up the show.
>>3625774
Google PseudoSaturn, only thing it requires is a $30 Action Replay 4+ cart and a couple instances of the swap trick
>>3625792
Oh I forgot One Piece, which was one of the more notorious dubs.
>>3625792
No, I'm not from USA. I watched DBZ in the 90s on a local channel in my country.
I still don't get it, what connection does it have to EB64/M3?
>>3625798
He's implying that Earthbound on GBA was made more kid friendly at the expense of the creators intent. I don't know enough about Mother to say it that';s even true.
>>3625803
Ahh, yeah I remember reading the Itoi toned down the ending, but not because he wanted to make it "kid friendly", but because he said he became a "better person" over the years or something.
M3 still has a lot of fucked up stuff though.
i recently started replaying it from the beginning.
works fine on SSF
>>3625203
Funny, I'm enjoying it well enough.
>>3625791
Because those that buy games and those that play games are two separate groups. I've been playing the copied version on my saturn for years.
>>3625819
Make sure you emulate the saturn 3D controller in SSF, this game controls best with it.
>>3625746
Runs fine on an SH. You're doing it wrong kid.
