I did it. I beat Zelda playing for the first time ever, without a guide.
Is it worth doing the second quest? I almost feel burnt out from the experience.

how many times did you die?
I bet it was a lot. lmao. You died a lot.

The second quest is just the first quest rearranged, so if you beat the first one, you already got the experience. It's just for those who want the experience again without knowing where everything is at.

Congrats sir, I'm on 2nd quest myself after beating 1st quest last week. I say stick with it; it's a hell of a toboggan ride. And hard as fuck.

With invisible passages that are both 1-way and 2-way, old men that demand rupees or a heart container, and red Fire Fairies that prevent you from using your sword until you touch a blue one.
The second quest is literally "burn every bush, bomb every wall to proceed". The first quest has hints telling where to look for everything, the second one doesn't. Dungeon 7 is the most extreme example, forcing you to burn bushes with no directions using only the blue candle.
When I first played it as a kid I died like 130 times

You can also drink a potion or visit a fairy to cure the effect of the red bubble.
I found this game pretty fascinating at first, because it actually gave you clues as to where to find things, and I drew my own maps and all, but after that one fucking dungeon full of fucking wizards I got pissed off and bored and whipped out a walkthrough for the rest of the game.

Shut the fuck up nerd, the dungeon with the thousand wizzrobes and the guys who eat your shields was the worst thing ever.
