What's wrong with pirate cartridges?
I thought they were a good alternative for emulation

I have a few pirate multicarts. I don't have an inherit problem with them per se, but they are some real "Why haven't you bought a flash cart yet, anon-kun?"
Pic related. I used to go pirate multicarts and now just have an Ali N8 which does everything I need.
Anti-piracy protection?
I have some bootleg carts, some of them are actually good quality, I actually thought DBZ2 for Super famicom was original until I learned original japanese carts don't have the little ranures to fit on the american SNES. But it looks original with the sticker on the back AND a number stamp included.
They all work on my console so I don't really think there's any actual difference with the official ones in terms of performance.

Seriously though. They're a shit cheap alternative. If you're young and poor like 9001% of neo /v/ then they're your best shot at playing on original hardware. jk you'll just end up overpaying on ebay. Evan Ali prices are crazy.

I don't think anyone complains about them here anon...
