What is your opinion of Mario? The character, the games, whatever...

I love pretty much all the main games, to they define platformers. The multiplayer games are usually a lot of fun too. The lore is quirky but forgettable.

Great games and spinoffs. He also makes a lot of people angry (the "mature games for mature gamers such as myself" crowd), so that gives him extra points.

I guess the question is less silly than I first thought. Mario is great. People tag on Nintendo releasing "the same game" over and over just because Mario is on the cover, which I don't think is fair.
