alright enough of the raspberry pi bullshit threads piece of shit. Here you go, thank me later:

Now run some real emulators.
>Real emulators
>Linux
You just have to laugh.

what do you think the raspberry pi is running?
Looks good but I'm a poorfag and the raspberry pi works fine for me
>>3594965
>>3594981
>implying that fixing up some raspi with equivalent i/o is cheaper
>>3594862
>hmm should i spend 30 on a raspberry pi, which i can easily get a whole emulation front end setup on
>Or should I spend 150 on a chromebox, which I have to fuck with, before I can emulate
>Dont have frontend specifically made for rasppi so you dont have as much optimization
They both can't do gamecube or above, so what's the fucking point in spending more
>>3594862
That's a solid piece of shit you have there youngster. Nice try.
>>3594862
>raspi + case + accessories to make it functional = $70
>chromebox = $150
>old P4 desktop = under $20
And all can't run PS2/Dolphin anyway, which of these do you think is the better deal? At least the old PC can run old/light PC games too, other software, and obviously a Linux distro if that's what you want but with far less headaches and setup.
>>3594862
Eh, it's more powerful than most SBCs, but not to the point that it could (enjoyably) emulate the systems the RPi and other SBCs can't handle. Give it about 5 years and these mini desktops will be pretty awesome, especially with the rapid advances in APU tech. Not really worth it currently.
Being x86 is nice, though.

why not just..... emulate... from the device you are posting with..... like a computer..... right now....? for free........??

>equivalent i/o
it is if you just get a Pi and use native hmdi and usbhub to plug everything
you must be thinking about the acrylic shell that costs as much as the Pi itself or any expansion card, you dont need all that
so if what ever you want to make is doable with plain simple Pi you're good
>>3595658
Well the pi is definately the most effecient considering it don't use that much power
>>3596742
Most efficient would be a 3gb android tablet with hdmi out and some type of usb support. Can do anything a rpi can.
>>3595658
This. Compact computers are just overpriced shit with underpowered oldtech cramped into an overheating shell.
>>3594862
>Intel HD graphics
There is literally nothing that thing can run that a raspberry pi can't, emulation wise
>>3596880
>2 wongs make a right turn
They're bad. Fuck off, shiller
>>3595932
This is good too. Fuck. Your shitty china mobile phone can probably emulate butter than a Shillberry Pastry, if you bought it in the last 5 years.
>>3596865
Basically each new gen of CPU.
>>3594862
Spend $10 more for
DGPU that can output 15Khz RGB
4GB RAM
120GB SSD
no thermal throttling
