It doesn't really matter because they are not real.

It was painfully obvious the game was trying to guilt you into Bianca, but I held firm and chose the blueberry waifu instead. When you look beyond the characters themselves, the choice is whether you wanted a mage from Flora, a fighter from Deborah, or a sub-par mix of the two from Bianca.

I think from a power wise perspective, unless you really want to use your waifu to the end of the game for "roleplaying purposes", it really doesn't matter because you might as well use Daughter or a monster and they'll be mostly be superior.

I've only ever had personal experience with Deb for DS and Bianca for SNES - if I had to take them to end-game it would probably be Deb because physical just scales better but I think it's probably more interesting to consider which one to take if you were going to use them until (story event) and then bench em.

Would Deborah's interesting equipment options provide you with more utility during that period or is it better to just get Bianca/Nera to blaster mage?

And in between B/N, which one? I never felt that WIS has any significant effect on spell damage, but is Bianca's extra MP significant enough to afford you some extra castings? I don't have any hard numbers on hand

I disagree. Deborah will deal less damage than Kafrizzle even during post game. She also relies on 2 hit weapons do deal damage, and those equipments don't receive Oomph bonus for their second attack.

They have pretty much the same MP. You can compare their stats on dragon-quest.org

That page only has like starting level and 99 though, which I don't think makes for very practical comparisons because I'm certain DQ V has variable growth rates for different characters
