ITT: submit enemy sprites for an Earthbound romhack
Submit any PNG that is 16 colors and at most 128x128.
When making a sprite, keep in mind the following

As far as I can tell, every time a sprite is reused EXCEPT for Starman Junior, it's the same enemy only with different properties. For example, if you want an enemy to have more than four moves you had to make it into two enemies and give each of them a "move" that "transforms" it into the other enemy entry. Also, for enemies like Master Belch and Clumsy Robot, who have unwinnable states, a separate enemy is made for the unbeatable version of that enemy.

Text edits are very possible and I plan on at least changing the text before every major fight, since Franky probably won't be able to introduce himself as Franky anymore. Actual edits to the map, the story progression, and so-on would be cumbersome and I've never tried it. slap an industrial-sized maybe on any major change to how the story plays out.

Here is the general overworld palette, the slots are sorted left to right, top to bottom and each block is the size of a normal overworld sprite (16x24)
Palette slot 1 (top-left) is interpreted as the transparent color, but is apparently the exact same green as slot 5 (column 1 row 2).
If you didn't get that or it creates problems in your sprite, just feel free to use any color as the "transparent color"
Requirements to accept an overworld sprite:

Yes it is 100% possible and I will do it myself later, I'll even fetch an in-game screenshot.
Before anyone asks, I will also take screenshots of some of the battles that have been covered.
Also update: I'll release a demo of this shit once a sprite has been submitted for every enemy in Onett/Giant's Step.
And broad request for some of the boss enemies to have their overworld sprite replaced, such as Porky and Franky. Sanctuary guardians will still share a generic overworld sprite, though.

Also now in the process of implementing a bunch of enemies, reply with one of the enemies you wanna see and I will take a screenshot of it in-game. Only doing screens of three of them for now.
Also, I won't do the "/v/ and /vr/ present" logo, but rather something possibly better than that
I will take a submission for the gas station screen. Be sure to include something along the lines of "from /v/ and /vr/", that is the only requirement of this screen. You can even change the subtitle of the game, though I have no plans on changing the main title-screen so keep that in mind.
Also I have not attempted to completely change this before, so if you want to be sure your image will work, take the following precautions.
>download GraphicsGale FreeEdition, image editor I rely on for limited-palette PNGs (so everything in Earthbound)
>go to the MEGA link in OP and download GasStation1, GasStation2, and GasStation3 from the logos folder
>open them in GraphicsGale to see the palette

It uses colors outside of the overworld color palette, here is an edit that fits the palette at the cost of losing the saturation in his tan. When I initially tossed this into the overworld palette, he had jaundice.

To put it very simply, I can put an image under all the right conditions, but if I save, restart gale, and open the image again the bit-depth will have returned to 24-bit somehow.

Used ImageMagick to set the color depth using this command:
$ convert -depth 4 ./original.png ./4bpp.png
By using the file command, it looks like it worked:
$ file 001-4bpp.png
001-4bpp.png: PNG image data, 32 x 64, 4-bit colormap, non-interlaced
Still, just to make sure can you verify pic related?
Also you're a Windows man, so I don't know if there's a standalone of ImageMagick you'd use.

Some are for battles against unbeatable enemies (one's for the unbeatable version, the other's for the beatable one), others are for the enemies to "transform" between (since enemies can only have so many attacks, so some "transform" into a duplicate of themselves to circumvent that), and some are for enemies who just happen to share a sprite with another enemy (i.e. starman jr. and starman)

You can export songs so if you make a song (that fits into the rom over another song) then feel free to drop a MEGA link or something. And please, also record some sort of preview for your song so other anons can know what you submitted.
Since Music is harder to make, I expect less submissions for it. Also, rather than waiting for a replacement, anons can collectively decide the original song should be kept instead of the one submitted.
